The fourth story in the Voravia series of historical novels.
Due to Princess Lucia's hasty actions, Voravia finds herself in great peril in a war with Sloronia. Sloronia have the advantage of cannon and sixteen years old Sir Peter Salt together with his friend the poet,Sir Henry Martley, are despatched to obtain a sample.
They are plunged into a series of dangers.
Whilst Peter is on his mission, Sloronia invades. Lucy has to imperil her life to save her nation.
